Job Description
Deputy Plant Maintenance Manager

- Location: Bangor, Gwynedd
- Job Type: Full-time, Hybrid
- Salary: £40,000 - £46,000 per annum
We are looking for a Deputy Plant Maintenance Manager and support the oversight of maintenance, repair, servicing, and operational reliability of essential equipment used in various production and construction operations. This role is crucial for ensuring all machinery and equipment are maintained to the highest standards of safety, compliance, reliability, and efficiency.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:- Maintenance Operations Support: Assist in planning and coordinating maintenance activities across all sites, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
- Team Supervision: Help supervise a team of technicians and mechanics, promoting a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Equipment Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime, ensuring operational efficiency.
- Inventory Management: Manage spare parts inventory, liaise with suppliers, and support cost-effective procurement strategies.
- Budget and Cost Control: Assist in controlling maintenance expenditure and improving efficiency.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all activities comply with legal standards and promote a positive health and safety culture.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in maintenance processes and systems.
- Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to emergency situations, ensuring safe and efficient restoration of operations.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in plant maintenance or a related field, with supervisory experience.
- Education: HNC, HND, NVQ Level 3 or higher in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Plant Maintenance, or related discipline.
- Certifications: IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent is desirable.
- Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Proficient in IT and maintenance management systems.
