Deputy Nursery Manager

Are you an ambitious Early Years Leader ready to make your mark on a brand-new setting? We are recruiting a Deputy Nursery Manager for a newly opened day nursery in London SE15. This is a high-responsibility role where you will work alongside the Manager to build a premier childcare environment from the ground up, establishing high standards and a positive team culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership: Support the Nursery Manager in the daily operations and strategic growth of the new setting.
• Team Development: Help recruit, mentor, and lead a fresh team of practitioners to deliver excellence.
• Curriculum Oversight: Ensure the EYFS framework is delivered creatively and consistently across all rooms.
• Compliance: Maintain strict Ofsted readiness, health and safety standards, and safeguarding protocols.
• Occupancy & Growth: Support with parent tours and marketing to build the nursery's reputation in the SE15 community.

Requirements (Essential)

• Qualification: Minimum Level 3 Childcare Qualification (Level 5 or Degree in Early Years is highly preferred).
• Experience: Proven experience in a Senior or Deputy role within a nursery setting.
• Knowledge: Expert understanding of Ofsted inspection frameworks and Safeguarding requirements.

Competitive Salary: High-end bracket of £35,000 - £38,000.
