Job Description
Overview

Skanska Building Services is at the forefront of facilities management. We deliver hard, soft, and technical FM services for major contracts, including the Ministry of Defence site near Watford. We are seeking a Deputy Maintenance Manager to join the Building Services team in Northwood to oversee the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance of CIS Infrastructure, manage the team, and deliver Small Works Projects.

Responsibilities
  • Operational management of a multi-skilled CIS Technicians team, overseeing CIS Infra fault rectification, site-wide planned maintenance, and project installations.
  • Respond to faults reported by the Client across multiple classified communication systems.
  • Manage and support on-site connectivity for all installed systems.
  • Provide infrastructure support for on-site internet and IPTV systems.
  • Support building services connectivity and network assets including BMS, fire alarms, security systems.
  • Liaise with Projects and Lifecycle Managers to deliver allocated project works in line with programmes and budgets.
  • Procure and manage CIS-based materials to support the contract.
  • Oversee on-site delivery of small works and Skanska projects by technicians and sub-contractors.
  • Deliver planned project tasks within client-approved project scopes.
  • Ensure end-to-end project delivery is profitable, timely, and well-coordinated.
  • Assist with completing self-audits of projects to ensure SCIDA compliance where required.
Qualifications
  • Experience in electrical services, telecoms and structured cabling.
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical / Electronic / Communications Infrastructure field.
  • Experience in a similar role and end-user project delivery.
  • Certifications: C&G 2365 (Level 3) or equivalent; knowledge of C&G 3666 modules for fibre optic and copper data cabling installations.
  • Experience with complex building services in a military environment including Telecommunications, BMS, fire and security systems.
  • Experience in a MOD or critical environment site.
  • Excellent team working and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Government Security Clearance (DV level).
  • Attendance of MoD CIDA course or equivalent.
