The Role:Oxfam Great Britain is seeking a Deputy Head of Anti-Corruption who will play a core role in Oxfam's prevention of and response to corruption. You will be assisting in the implementation of Oxfam's anti-corruption response and prevention activities for all three regions OGB operates in (Africa, Asia and MENA).
What we are looking for:The Deputy Head of Anti-Corruption will play a critical role in Oxfam's response to corruption. You will be the organisational lead for the design and implementation of Oxfam's prevention strategy, conducting analysis of key trends and planning innovative global prevention initiatives and training. You will have experience of implementing anti-corruption or counter fraud measures in organisations including delivering training, reviewing policies and developing risk assessments. You will ideally have experience of delivering training and be a compelling public speaker, able to convey complex subjects concisely and accessibly to global colleagues.
You will also play a key role in mentoring a team of Global Anti-Corruption Specialists and adding capacity and guidance on investigations, training and capacity building.
You will deputise for the Head of Anti-Corruption, standing in for them when needed. This may mean representing the Anti-Corruption Team and Oxfam with internal and external stakeholders and assisting in the overall coordination and leadership of a geographically dispersed team.
You will be an experienced anti-corruption professional with a background in prevention. The ideal candidate will also be a skilled and experienced investigator, familiar with the management of high risk incidents.
You will have an excellent understanding of organisational and operational risk and have demonstrated good judgement in handling information from sensitive sources such as confidential whistle-blowers.
You will need be an innovator and a self-starter, able and willing to work with minimum supervision and confident with the autonomy to develop your own prevention strategy for Oxfam GB.
Working closely with the Head of Anti-Corruption, you will assist them in ensuring corruption investigations are responded to effectively and in the effective administration of the team. This role sits at the heart of the ACT and will require excellent team working, communication skills and enthusiasm in order to work closely with your colleagues both in the UK and other parts of the world.
You will be prepared and willing to travel, sometimes at short notice to hardship environments.
