Medical and dental contract: £115,331 - £153,247 per annum (pro rata if part time)
AFC contract: Band 9 £127,521 - £133,044 per annum (pro rata if part time)

NHS Forth Valley seeks to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team in the post of Deputy Director of Public Health. Applicants with the essential selection criteria are welcome to apply who are currently working out with NHS Scotland.
The Directorate plays a key role in NHS Forth Valley by promoting and protecting population health across the region. It works collaboratively with internal teams and external partners, including Health and Social Care Partnerships, Local Authorities, Primary Care, Police Scotland, the Third Sector, and maintains strong ties with the University of Stirling.
The post is offered on a 1.0 WTE basis (i.e. 10 Programmed Activities per week which equates to 40hrs) or 36hrs per week (if Agenda for Change contract).

Our health board is situated in the heart of Scotland, nestled against the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, and close to vibrant towns that are richly endowed with excellent cultural and sporting facilities, offering good transport links to Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Applicants must have full GMC registration and a licence to practise or equivalent for non-medical applications. Applicants will be in possession of Membership of the Faculty of Public Health or equivalent. Applicants must be included in the GMC Full and Specialist Register with a license to practice/GDC Specialist List or inclusion in the UK Public Health Register (UKPHR) for Public Health Specialists at the point of application.
Applicants are required to have evidence of recent continued academic and professional development. Excellent communication, listening and organisational skills are essential.
