The time has never been more exciting to join an evolving organisation whose passion and drive centres wholly around improving lives for those with mental health and addiction needs across Greater Manchester (GM).

Due to our continued growth and development, and recognising the diverse geographical footprint that we now cover, we have recently redesigned our leadership structures, resulting in the formation of Care Groups. These groups will be led collaboratively by senior clinical and operational leaders, working in partnership with other system partners to deliver quality services within specific localities or groups of services.

The Trust is currently under the Single Oversight Framework (SOF) 4 and is implementing an ambitious improvement plan, supported by NHS England and NHS Greater Manchester. Supported by a forward-thinking Board of Directors and a robust accountability framework, this new structure will help us achieve our vision to improve lives, reduce health inequalities, and lead in mental health and addiction services for all ages in GM.

Main duties of the job

The Deputy Chief Medical Officer roles are pivotal within the new structures, supporting the portfolio of the Chief Medical Officer. They will work as part of a team, collaborating with the Deputy Chief Nurses and the Deputy Chief Operating Officer, to maintain professional standards and deliver high-quality care to service users.
