The Irish Film Institute is Ireland's national cultural institution for film. At the IFI's historic home in Eustace Street, Temple Bar, our diverse audiences and loyal members enjoy our 3 cinemas, IFI Irish Film Archive's research and access facilities, IFI Film Shop and IFI Café Bar, and our four digital streaming platforms: ; IFI Archive Player IFI International.
The IFI is centered around five core activities:
EXHIBIT - Providing audiences throughout Ireland with access to the finest independent, Irish and international cinema
PRESERVE - Preserving and promoting Ireland's moving image heritage through the IFI Irish Film Archive
EDUCATE - Providing opportunities for audiences of all ages and backgrounds to learn and critically engage with film through IFI Education
INNOVATE - Using new and emerging technologies to enhance audience engagement, operations and processes, while exploring opportunities for expansion
PEOPLE - Always considering audiences, artists and IFI staff as the triad at the heart of all decision-making regarding what we do and how we do it.
Contract: 2-year fixed term, Full-Time
Reporting to: The Head of Food & Beverage

Deputy Café & Bar ManagerThe key requirements of the Deputy Café & Bar Manager are to support the Head of Food & Beverage in ensuring the IFI bar/café operates efficiently and to the highest possible standard, while delivering first-class service to IFI customers.
Responsibilities:Managing daily bar and restaurant operations
Leading, training and motivating food and beverage team members
Maintaining excellent service, presentation and guest experience standards
Managing rosters, stock control, ordering, wastage and labour costs
Supporting beverage service, restaurant service, events
Working closely with the kitchen, events and senior management
Handling guest feedback professionally and ensuring strong service recovery
Ensuring compliance with health, safety, HACCP and restaurant operating procedures
Previous experience as a Bar Manager, Restaurant Manager or Food and Beverage Manager
2 years' Experience within a hospitality environment
Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
Excellent food, beverage, wine and service knowledge
Commercial awareness with the ability to manage costs, sales and standards
Professional, hands-on and guest-focused approach
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and busy hospitality service periods
