Deployment engineer

Deployment Engineer - 1 month Contract - £200/day via umbrella company - onsite Tullamore - SCC FLEX CONTRACT

As a Deployment Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering a smooth and efficient Windows 11 upgrade experience for users across multiple sites. You'll support end users through the setup process, provide hands-on technical assistance, and ensure devices are prepared, deployed, and returned in line with project and asset-management requirements.

Your responsibilities as a Deployment Engineer:

• Support users through the Windows 11 setup and transition with clear, hands-on guidance.
• Provide on-site hyper-care after deployment, resolving issues quickly.
• Install, configure, and pre-provision Windows 11 devices.
• Rebuild and process Windows 10 devices for recycling or repurposing.
• Track and manage all Windows 10 assets in line with asset-management procedures.
• Remove BIOS passwords and decommission devices from AD and SCCM before return.
• Update Assyst CMDB records with accurate device status.
• Prepare devices for return to HP, including palletising and ensuring chargers are included.
• Coordinate rollout activities with the project team and regional GTS resources.
• Escalate issues promptly and support continuous improvement of deployment processes.
• Maintain accurate documentation of deployment progress, device status, and user feedback.

As a suitable Deployment Engineer, you will have:

• Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 deployment and device configuration
• Experience with SCCM, Active Directory, and BIOS management
• Confident providing clear, user-focused technical support
• Good asset-management and documentation skills
• Ability to work with project teams and escalate issues appropriately
• Willingness to travel to multiple sites for deployment activities
