About This Role

Demand Generation Marketing Manager

The Demand Generation Manager will plan and execute demand generation programs for the EMEA region (primarily the UK, Nordics, Belgium and Netherlands). You will partner closely with the Senior Director of Demand Generation for your region as well as local market leadership in Sales, Sales Development and Product Marketing to deliver Sales pipeline and revenue. Key to the success in this role is the ability to understand how our business objectives translate to marketing objectives as well as to conceive and execute programmes / integrated campaigns that bring together appropriate budget, targeting, copy, creative and channel / distribution tactics to achieve desired outcomes.

The Demand Generation Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams as required to design, plan, execute and optimise integrated demand generation strategies including broad-based demand generation, vertical-specific programmes, named account marketing and ABM, with a focus on optimising marketing spend and ROI. You will oversee and manage demand generating activities driving high quality interest from accounts and individuals within the Outsystems ideal customer profile. You'll understand how these leads move into and through the sales lifecycle and measure the overall effectiveness and ROI of marketing programmes, channels, initiatives and campaigns in support of your region specific revenue growth objectives.

What you'll do:
  • Partner with geo-specific cross-functional teams (Product, Sales Development, Sales, Partner Marketing, Events, PR, Marketing Operations, Digital) to understand the industry and buyer landscape and strategic business priorities.
  • Work wit h the Senior Director of Demand Generation and VP Global Revenue Marketing to ensure all demand generation plans and tactics best align to business and selling objectives within current resourcing.
  • Understand ICP target buyer personas so that you can create programmes, integrated campaigns and content that facilitate authentic conversations and timely omni-channel engagements that move buyers through the funnel.
  • Execute against the region specific demand generation strategy across the buyer journey for net new logo, customer expansion, ABM and Direct / Partner Sales goals.
  • Develop and execute overall integrated campaign plans to directly contribute to pipeline and revenue objectives for your assigned region while ensuring overall quality standards are met / exceeded across each touch point.
  • Understand the entire marketing funnel (Lead to Closed Won Business), track and optimise performance at each stage of the funnel and work with your team to create a predictable and healthy demand engine while achieving engagement / conversions goals with named / targeted accounts.
  • Provide ongoing review / analysis of all relevant demand gen KPIs and results (campaign and sales cycle); leverage these insights to proactively inform and drive ongoing optimisation and prioritisation.
  • Maintain a feedback loop with other team members / functions to optimise lead generation campaigns and take advantage of content / work done across the team where possible.
  • Work towards agreed OKRs (objectives and key results), communicate progress to business stakeholders and lead discussions to help make data-informed decisions for optimisation.
  • Own the ongoing inspection and optimisation of the full "Lead - Closed-Won" lifecycle for all segment-specific marketing contributed pipeline to ensure that you have a full picture view of what is progressing / isn't and where we are winning / not winning to help inform strategies and increase win rates.
  • Measure cross-channel marketing programme effectiveness against key / primary measures of success (e.g., awareness, demand gen, customer engagement, advocacy) monitoring campaign KPIs for ongoing optimisation and reporting
  • Leverage Marketo, Salesforce, 6Sense and other third-party tools to understand segment specific customer lifecycle behaviours to feed ongoing campaign/programme optimisation.
  • Drive ongoing quality assurance to maintain complete transparency and ensure that all marketing supported initiatives and results are appropriately tracked in Salesforce and Marketo.
  • Build a solid relationship with Sales leadership and collaborate with the Sales team to provide ongoing visibility into key programmes / campaigns. Seek to understand new market / buyer insights and leverage these for programme optimisation.
  • Oversee assigned region specific demand generation budget and track spending to understand and improve customer acquisition costs. Measure and optimise marketing programmes to ensure activities are effective, efficient and geared towards driving profitable ROI.
  • Research, manage and oversee external agencies / contractors that act as an extension of our internal teams to accomplish goals.
Required Skills:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of and demonstrated success in both ABM, vertical and broad-based demand generation in B2B technology / complex Sales SaaS environment.
  • Understanding of the general B2B Sales processes.
  • Passionate about marketing and its ability to impact revenue growth.
  • Ability to prioritise and execute with quality and timeliness.
  • Experience managing cross-channel, integrated campaigns from strategy, planning, activation, measurement/analysis, optimisation.
  • Combination of a creative and analytical mindset that drives compelling campaign approaches, open dialogue and healthy debate.
  • Understand lead scoring and complex B2B sales re venue lifecycle including MQL-SQO handoffs.
  • Experience working with SDR teams and an understanding of how to brief and arm SDRs for successful follow-up on hand raisers or exploration of key target accounts identified for ABM strategies.
  • Ability to analyse unique customer/segment situations and apply strategic marketing ideas to meet those challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large complex projects and programs to completion, within budget and to a high quality, paying attention to detail.
  • Highly results focused with demonstrated analytical skills and prior experience reporting on marketing KPIs to senior leadership / stakeholders.
  • Ability to learn quickly, synthesise and act based on learnings.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both the value and benefit of overall and specific marketing channels and deploy them strategically as needed.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Highly effective verbal and written communication / presentation skills.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines across a range of initiatives.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or equivalent related education preferred.
  • 5+ years B2B demand generation / marketing experience in tech/SaaS. Experience marketing to EMEA countries required.
