Job Summary As a Delivery Manager you will be accountable for the effective delivery of critical products and services. Working for the Senior Delivery Manager, you will have experience of delivering across a range of products and services, managing them throughout the entire product life cycle. Directorate Overview: The Digital & Data Services (DDS) directorate is at the heart of CCS's digital transformation journey, responsible for delivering modern, efficient, and user-centred digital services that support over £30bn of public sector procurement annually. We're building a world-class digital capability that will revolutionise how the public sector buys common goods and services. Team Summary The role of the Delivery Manager sits within the newly established Delivery Capability Domain within the Digital Data & Services Directorate (DDS). Key Accountabilities The duties listed are indicative, not exhaustive. The post holder may be required to undertake additional duties or assume other roles as reasonably required by the business to deliver services and achieve objectives. Any changes will be managed in line with HR policies, capability, and security requirements. Facilitating Scrum ceremonies for a delivery team; support teams to adopt Agile best practices. Promote and support standardised delivery practices within the organisation, encouraging continuous improvement and innovative working methods. Help ensure teams have the appropriate resources to meet their delivery goals. Collaborate with business stakeholders to support the efficient delivery of products and services within your area. Ability to use metrics to help teams achieve their goals and identify areas for improvement. Build positive relationships with technical teams, Product Owners, senior stakeholders, management, and external contractors, ensuring effective communication and governance. ensure milestones, project plans and risks are managed and maintained Help delivery teams visualise outcomes, prioritise work, and determine minimum viable products (MVPs). Assist in managing contracted suppliers by helping establish clear expectations, ensuring contractual compliance, and supporting communication to meet quality and deadline requirements. Essential Criteria (to be assessed at application stage): Experience working as an Agile Delivery Manager, Scrum Master, with an understanding of agile methods. Experience of delivery planning, managing project stages, and estimating work within sprints using techniques such as story pointing. Able to recognise and manage risk and dependencies between different teams or services and coordinate their work to support smooth delivery. Experience working with teams such as Product Managers, Developers, Testers, User Researchers, and Service Designers involved in delivering software products.
