Data Scientist & User Support Officer - SAIL Databank

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the friendly, welcoming, and supportive team at SAIL Databank and to become involved in leading the provision of excellent assistance to all users and projects across a range of services.

You will be part of a team of data scientists playing a core role in facilitating activities within the SAIL Databank. This includes supporting users and projects throughout their journey, from project inception, scoping, applying for approvals, provisioning data to approved projects, to providing expertise on data use and reviewing output requests.

The SAIL Databank is a world-class, trusted research environment with robust and secure policies enabling access to anonymised individual-level data for research aimed at improving health, well-being, and services. It is internationally recognized, endorsed by the Government, and receives core funding from the Welsh Government's Health and Care Research Wales and other funders.

Currently, the SAIL Databank supports around 350 active research projects and receives 60-70 new applications annually.
