Data Scientist / Machine Learning / NLP Expert

We are currently seeking an experienced Data Scientist/Machine Learning/NLP Expert to support a prestigious European Institution in Brussels.

️ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collect business requirement and develop advanced data mining solutions or identify, assess and deploy relevant existing data mining, machine learning and business intelligence solutions;
• Development and maintenance of software applications in the field of Natural Language Processing (NLP), Machine Learning (ML) and/or Artificial Intelligence (AI);
• Identify, collect, convert and update different data types/sets in several locations;
• Contribute to the design and implementation of the analytics architecture and its solution stack (including performance aspects, physical design, capacity dimensions);
• Write the different documentation associated with the tasks and liaise with other project teams as necessary to address cross-project interdependencies.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 12+ years of experience in IT or a relevant field;
• University degree in Computer Science/IT/Engineering;
• C1/C2 level of English (French B1+ preferred);
• Excellent knowledge of Python, Matlab, R and its NLP/ML libraries (SpaCy/NLTK/scikit-learn/pandas);
• Excellent knowledge of machine learning techniques and algorithms (k-NN/Naive Bayes/SVM/Decision Forests/Neural Network) and/or artificial intelligence frameworks;
• Excellent knowledge of Data Management;
• Good knowledge of AWS and/or Azure;
• Good knowledge of the Linux environment;
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB/Cassandra/HBase) and data visualization tools (D3.js/GGplot).

This is a hybrid role, requiring on-site presence at the Brussels office just one day per week.
