Data Protection Solicitor (Oxfordshire)

To c£95,000 DOE - This specialist team within an award winning national law firm is seeking additional talent to advise on complex data protection matters on a 12 month fixed term basis.

The practice is a growing contentious data protection and information governance team seeking a solicitor or experienced data protection professional.

Responsibilities

• Advising clients on complex Subject Access Requests, Freedom of Information Requests, data breaches and other challenging information law issues.
• Working on interesting, often high profile matters alongside a supportive and collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitors with data protection experience or in house data protection professionals.
• Strong working knowledge of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act, with experience managing DSARs and FOIA requests.
• Practical experience responding to personal data breaches and a commercial, pragmatic approach to problem solving.
• Experience in Cyber Attacks and contentious data protection matters, including tribunal proceedings, is a distinct advantage.

Terms

• 12 month fixed term basis with potential to extend or become a permanent contract.
