Data Ops Engineer - £400PD - remote

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines supporting CI/CD across cloud and data platforms.

• Build and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.

• Support and optimise Azure networking and security, including identity, access management, and secure connectivity.

• Deploy and manage containerised workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (AKS).

• Collaborate with data teams to support Snowflake and other data platforms, ensuring reliability, performance, and security.

• Implement and maintain observability and monitoring solutions, including logging, metrics, alerting, and incident response.

• Enable and improve self-service capabilities for BI and analytics platforms, empowering users while maintaining governance and security.

• Work closely with engineering, data, and BI teams to improve platform reliability, scalability, and developer experience.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD best practices.

• Hands-on expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

• Solid understanding of Azure networking, security, and cloud architecture.

• Experience with containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes/AKS).

• Exposure to Snowflake or other modern data platforms.

• Experience implementing monitoring, logging, and observability tools.

• Ability to design platforms that balance self-service, governance, and security.

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting BI tools and analytics platforms (eg Power BI, Tableau).

• Familiarity with SRE or platform engineering practices.

• Experience working in agile or DevOps-oriented teams.
