About the role
Our Data Operations team supports and manages our principal CRM database holding extensive information on donors, participants, members and supporters. Within that, the Data Operations team provides support to the whole of BHF for the use of data for marketing and management purposes.
As our Data Operations Manager you'll plan and coordinate imports, selections, dashboards and trackers of data, for activities such as fundraising and marketing communications, and will oversee our CRM support function which assists users, ensures best database practice, and maintains critical financial and compliance processes.
Working collaboratively with external agencies and internal stakeholders, you'll lead on the continual improvement of quality of data held within the system, and will work closely with our I&A, MFE and Data Applications teams, as well as internal customers, to identify business opportunities and develop the use of data across the organisation.
Acting as a key contributor to our Technology Services Portfolio strategy, whilst being ultimately responsible for the effective management of BAU Data Operations and team, you'll be the CRM service owner and be instrumental in ensuring our CRM and associated Data Applications are managed, monitored and supported in a measurable way and are aligned with business expectations.
Working arrangements
Please note this is a 12-month fixed term contract, covering an internal secondment.
This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our London office.

About you
A professional expert in their field, with an authoritative knowledge and understanding of all aspects of Data Operations, you'll have an understanding of Data Operations for a similar sized organisation and will have expert knowledge in the manipulation of data and data querying within a relational database structure.
With expert knowledge of database systems and platforms, as well as experience of using T-SQL, you'll have previous experience as a database professional, ideally utilising Blackbaud products, including significant experience with marketing data.
You'll have an appreciation of digital terminology, practice and process, as well as direct experience of project/workstream management and review of workflows/processes

- Able to work collaboratively with colleagues in the Technology directorate as well as colleagues and staff across BHF.
- A strategic approach to the delivery of Technology Infrastructure, able to see the big picture as well as the finer details.
