Data Engineering Lead 
SME Banking
Location: London
Working: Hybrid (50/50)
Salary: Up to £100k + bonus & benefits
- Leading a small team of Data Engineers within a growing specialist bank on a journey to become fully datadriven.
- You'll own data delivery and play a key role in shaping a modern cloud data platform, built around Snowflake, supporting analytics, reporting and business decision making.
- This is a hands on leadership role, combining technical ownership with team development and platform strategy.
- Lead and develop a team of data engineers
- Own the design and delivery of scalable data pipelines (ETL/ELT)
- Drive improvements in data platform tooling, orchestration and CI/CD
- Define and enforce engineering standards and best practices
- Collaborate with architecture, BI and business teams on delivery
- Ensure data quality, reliability and performance across pipelines
- Support ongoing evolution of a modern cloud data platform
- Proven experience in a Lead / Senior Data Engineering role
- Strong hands on experience with Snowflake
- Expertise in ETL/ELT and orchestration tools (e.g. Airflow, dbt, Matillion)
- Strong SQL and Python skills
- Experience building scalable data platforms in cloud environments
- Previous experience leading or mentoring engineers
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
