Data Engineer (No freelance)

As a Data Engineer, you will be part of the Data & Analytics team and play a crucial role in the further development of the data platform. You will design and implement sustainable data solutions that enable reliable insights. You will collaborate with stakeholders, analysts, IT colleagues, and external partners to make data accessible, reliable, and future-proof.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions and data platforms
• Optimise ETL/ELT data pipelines
• Translate business needs into high-performing and sustainable data architectures and data models
• Ensure data quality, data governance, security, and GDPR compliance
• Provide stability, performance, and scalability for the data platform
• Support AI, analytics, and reporting initiatives with a reliable data foundation
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external partners to help build a data-driven organisation
• Monitor developments within data engineering and introduce best practices and continuous improvements

Your Profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (IT, Data Engineering, Computer Science, etc.)
• Experience working in complex data environments with multiple data sources
• Strong knowledge of data modelling and data architecture
• Experience developing ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines
• Knowledge of the Microsoft Data Stack
• Knowledge of data warehouses, databases, and modern data platforms
• Programming skills in SQL and Python
• Understanding of data governance, security, and privacy legislation (GDPR)
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills
• Ability to bring structure and maintain an overview in complex environments
• Proactive mindset, always looking for optimisation opportunities and improvements
• Strong communication skills with a business-oriented approach
• Able to work independently and take ownership of projects
