Data Center Technician

We're looking for a hands-on, safety-focused Data Centre Technician to support critical infrastructure operations across our high-availability environment.

What You'll Do

You'll play a key role in keeping our data centre running smoothly and safely by:

• Supporting contractors, vendors, and service partners on-site
• Performing routine checks, rounds, and basic equipment assessments
• Monitoring and maintaining electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems
• Responding to incidents and abnormal conditions using emergency procedures (EOPs)
• Recording and analysing operational data (temperature, voltage, current, etc.)
• Following standard operating procedures (SOPs) for planned maintenance activities
• Assisting with troubleshooting, repairs, and equipment calibration
• Supporting critical power infrastructure including UPS, PDUs, RPPs, and control panels
• Participating in preventative maintenance programmes (UPS, batteries, control systems)
• Supporting system shutdowns, testing (PIT), and upgrades in a controlled environment

What You Bring

• Previous data centre experience (essential)
• experience working with electrical systems in critical environments (eg, data centres, hospitals, manufacturing, oil & gas)
• OSHA or OSHA-approved NFPA 70E certification
• Strong understanding of safety and compliance standards
• Basic knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
• Familiarity with BMS/EPMS systems
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• High school diploma/GED (or equivalent)
• Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts, rotating schedules, and varied work weeks
