Data Business Analyst

Role overview

We're looking for a sharp, inquisitive Data Business Analyst to help drive a large-scale data transformation programme.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, loves unpicking complex business processes, and isn't afraid to ask the tough questions to get to real value. You'll be embedded in a cross-functional team shaping a secure, scalable Cloud Data Platform designed to consolidate enterprise data, improve governance, and unlock insight across multiple domains.

You'll play a hands-on role in defining use cases, running stakeholder sessions, and connecting the dots between data, systems, and business needs.

Technical requirements:

1. Proven experience as a Data BA on cloud or enterprise data platform projects
2. Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills-comfortable in workshops and 1:1s
3. Ability to uncover hidden requirements and challenge assumptions
4. Experience translating business needs into data use cases and technical requirements
5. Exposure to modern data environments (Azure/Snowflake/PowerBI preferred)
6. Familiarity with Agile delivery practices
7. Bonus: Insurance industry knowledge or previous work in regulated environments
