Choose a partner with intimate knowledge of your industry and first-hand experience of defining its future.Select your locationSelect your locationIndustriesChoose a partner with intimate knowledge of your industry and first-hand experience of defining its future.Glasgow# Data Architect About the Job you are considering: We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect to design optimise and govern the organisations data ecosystem across cloud and onprem environments The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data modelling data integration data governance and scalable data platform design enabling end to end data lifecycle management that supports business transformation and advanced analytics Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time. Your Role: Define and implement enterprisewide data architecture frameworks reference architectures and design patterns Develop conceptual logical and physical data models for complex systems and crossfunctional business domains Establish standards for data storage data pipelines metadata management lineage and quality Data Engineering Integration Architect robust and scalable ETL pipelines across cloud hybrid and onprem platforms Oversee integration of structured semistructured and unstructured data from multiple sources Collaborate with engineering teams to optimise data lakes data warehouses and analytics platforms Cloud Data Platforms Lead the design and implementation of cloudnative data systems eg AWS Define best practices for data ingestion storage compute orchestration and security across cloud services Optimise performance and costefficiency of largescale data workloads Data Governance Security Implement data governance frameworks including data cataloguing data stewardship and quality controls Ensure compliance with information security privacy and regulatory standards eg GDPR PCI DSS ISO Establish policies for data retention classification access control and lifecycle management Stakeholder Management Collaboration Work closely with business product analytics engineering and architecture teams to align data strategies Translate business requirements into scalable and highperforming technical architecture Provide architectural leadership mentoring and direction to engineering teams Your Skills: Strong expertise in data modelling ER dimensional canonical metadata and master data management Experience with data platforms such as Databricks BigQuery Redshift Synapse Handson experience with SQL Python and distributed data processing frameworks Spark Kafka Deep understanding of data warehousing lakehouse architectures and eventdriven architectures Experience designing cloudnative solutions using AWS S3 Glue Redshift Lambda RDS DynamoDB Step Functions Knowledge of API integrations microservices and data streaming solutions Declare they have a disability, and Meet the minimum essential criteria for the role.
