Job Description

The primary purpose of the Data Analyst is to work collaboratively with business users to develop report, dashboards and other data that provide actionable insight for internal investment and sustainability decision making, support our regulatory reporting and deliver partner reports.

To enable this the Data Analyst will work to specify, develop, deploy and maintain data/business intelligence products. The Data Analyst will also work to have a deep understanding of the source systems and business processes at Just as this will enable the production of high quality and valuable data products. Alongside this the Data Analyst will work to elevate the data culture at Just by evangelising tooling, best practice and innovation using advanced analytics methods and tooling.

Key responsibilities
  • Technical Subject Matter Experience- Aspire to be a subject matter expert regards to the data analytics subject area relating to data product design, data modelling, SQL Server Solutions, Purview and other technologies such as the Azure Data Platform achieving this by completing work based training on the technology platforms and disciplines.
  • Requirements Gathering - To work with business stakeholders to gather requirements which can be used for the purposes of data modelling and data product design and development.
  • Develop Bespoke Solutions - To develop high quality bespoke data solutions using appropriate, industry standard tools, technologies and languages aligned to the organizational target architecture and data strategy.
  • Technical Documentation - To ensure that high quality documentation is developed, maintained, regularly reviewed and stored for all solutions developed and all operational processes.
  • Metadata Management - To work to collect metadata which can be added to relevant systems and solutions to improve usability.
  • Continuous improvement - Innovates by driving continuous improvement relating technical solutions, making appropriate use of new technology and recommending process improvements that will let the team to meet and exceed expectations.
  • Quality Assurance - To perform peer reviews of solutions and documentation in order to ensure that procedures and standards are followed consistently. Continuously work towards the objective of building in quality and provide appropriately tested solutions.
  • Operational Process Support - Support, execute and administrate weekly and monthly processes within the bespoke Financial Data Warehousing solutions.
  • Service Desk Requests - To act as second and third line support in undertaking tasks assigned via Service Desk.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Support - To engage with stakeholders through various channels (e.g. surgeries, communities of practice) with a view data platform adoption and improve data maturity within the organisation.
  • Cross Platform Knowledge- To be able to support, develop and maintain the Azure Data Platform and the legacy SQL Server Data Platform

  • Develop a manager monitoring and engagement database for ESG and climate related issues
  • Streamline the emissions modelling tool
  • Enhance and maintain the climate risk modelling tool
  • Maintain the scope three business emissions modelling and reporting tool
  • Ensure all modelling tools are in line with EUC requirements with appropriate and effective controls in place for data management
