Data Analyst (AI & ML Focus) - 1 role

Hybrid (mix of office/home); Base: Newcastle upon Tyne, UK

As a Data Analyst focused on AI/ML, you will work closely with our AI/ML team to deliver advanced analytics and support bespoke machine learning models for energy data. You'll prepare datasets, contribute to model training/validation workflows, and present insights through clear visualisations that inform product and operational decisions.

• Data Preparation - Build reliable, well-documented datasets from pipelines for analysis and model input.
• Model Support - Assist with feature preparation, training/validation runs, and results tracking for energy use cases.
• Analytics & Insight - Explore datasets, quantify patterns, and provide actionable findings to stakeholders.
• Visualisation - Create clear dashboards/visuals to communicate trends and model outcomes.
• Quality & Governance - Validate data assumptions, handle anomalies, and document definitions/metrics.

• Strong SQL and Python skills for analysis, data wrangling, and reproducible workflows.
• Experience with data pipelines and with model training/validation support.
• Familiarity with modern visualisation tools and best practices for explanatory charts.
• Passion for applying AI to real-world renewable energy and smart-grid challenges.
• Clear communicator with an evidence-driven approach.
