5V Tech is representing a company that is truly on the front lines of securing the future of mobility. They're growing a specialized team of cybersecurity engineers, reverse engineers, and system specialists working at the intersection of hardware and software to protect safety-critical automotive systems.

They are searching for a Cybersecurity Software Developer to take a vital role in the design and develop custom security tools used by both internal researchers and OEM client teams spanning offensive, defensive, and automation use cases.

This role goes beyond writing secure code. You'll be building the actual infrastructure that lets the teams break and secure systems faster, deeper, and more effectively.

These tools could include capabilities for

• Firmware and binary analysis
• Protocol fuzzing and simulation
• Automated exploit frameworks
• Custom network inspection tooling
• Client-facing security validation platforms

You'll contribute across the full lifecycle - from PoC scripting to robust cloud-hosted or cross-platform tools - and shape the internal security ecosystem with scalable, elegant solutions.

What You Bring

• Strong software development skills in C/C++, Rust, or Go - with a low-level systems focus
• Experience developing cybersecurity tools, frameworks, or platforms (offensive or defensive)
• Ability to reverse engineer systems and translate abstract security problems into concrete code
• Solid understanding of hardware-software interactions, embedded systems, firmware etc.
• Experience working alongside security researchers, specialists, or penetration testers
• Strong documentation and architecture-level communication skills

Bonus If You Have

• Delivered internal or commercial tooling suites for security research or testing
• Familiarity with CAN, automotive ECUs, binary formats, or JTAG/SWD-based tooling
• Experience with Linux-based tooling, scripting, and system architecture
• Knowledge of CI/CD for toolchain deployment and versioning
• Built or contributed to distributed or cloud-hosted tooling platforms
