Cyber Security Engineer

A Global Financial Services Organisation requires a Contract Security Engineer to deliver hands on security operations and compliance support, particularly with Cyber Essentials Plus Certification.

• Day Rate: £500-£550pd
• IR35 Status: Outside
• Duration: 3 Months initially
• Travel: 1 day a week in Central London

• Deploy, manage, and optimise security controls across email, endpoint, and cloud platforms, including Mimecast, Netskope, CrowdStrike, and Purview.
• Identify, analyse, and remediate security threats using advanced detection and EDR tools.
• Support Cyber Essentials Plus preparation, audits, and ongoing compliance activities.
• Contribute to wider ISO 27001 alignment and adherence to other recognised security frameworks and standards.
• Provide expert guidance on security best practices, risk reduction, and secure configuration.
• Partner with IT and business stakeholders to maintain strong data protection and secure operational workflows.
