Customs Entry / Road Freight Clerk maternity cover

Customs Entry / Road Freight Clerk to join their operations team on a 1-year maternity cover contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and organised individual with solid customs and road freight experience to join a busy, supportive logistics environment.

You will be responsible for managing customs entries and supporting road freight operations, ensuring shipments are processed accurately and efficiently in line with regulations and company procedures.

• Completing and submitting customs entries (import & export)
• Liaising with HMRC and relevant authorities where required
• Handling road freight shipments from start to finish
• Ensuring all documentation is accurate and compliant
• Communicating with customers, drivers, and overseas agents
• Monitoring shipments and resolving operational issues
• Maintaining internal systems and records

• Previous experience in customs entries is essential
• Experience within road freight operations
• Strong understanding of UK customs procedures and compliance
• Excellent attention to detail
• Organised and able to manage multiple shipments simultaneously
• Confident communicator with a proactive approach
• IT competent (experience using freight systems preferred)

• 12-month fixed-term contract
• Monday to Friday working hours (09:00 - 17:30)
• Office-based in Egham
• Hybrid working available once fully trained
• Supportive team environment
