Customer Team Member

Location: 13 - 15 Cole Green Lane, Welwyn Garden City, AL7 3PP

Pay: £13.04 per hour

Contract: 12 hours per week + regular overtime, permanent contract, part time

Working pattern: A mix of opening, closing, and mid day shifts, with flexibility across the week including at least 2 evening shifts and 1 weekend shift. Friday after 6pm, any shift on Saturday, or Sunday. The role includes working in our in store bakery.

Full, paid training provided.

Minimum age requirement: 18 years or older. The position may involve work before 6am or after 10pm.

As a Customer Team Member, you'll be part of a friendly team dedicated to helping our customers. Your responsibilities include providing great service on the tills and shop floor, restocking shelves, and maintaining a clean and safe shop environment.

What you'll do
  • Friendly and thoughtful service - putting customers first, responding to queries, championing Co op products and Membership, working in our in store bakery and ensuring a great shopping experience.
  • Work together to make everyone's day better - supporting store colleagues to solve problems for customers and members.
  • Make sure the store is safe and legal - keeping shelves stocked and ensuring prices, dates, and temperatures are as they should be.
  • Help introduce new products and services - making changes feel natural, sharing experiences with your colleagues so everyone learns together.
  • Support your local community - getting involved in all kinds of activities and events.
