Our client is looking for a Customer Support Operational Specialist. This person is responsible for the day-to-day tasks in the customer services team, providing accurate, up-to-date, and responsive information to both internal and external customers. They manage all sales orders, ensuring 100% accuracy in data management and reporting, and maintain a high level of vigilance for any exceptions to normal sales or volume patterns by product and customer. Additionally, they provide superior customer service, assist colleagues in driving sales across the commercial parts business, and support essential tasks by partnering with management to execute exceptional standards. They offer phone and in-person support to commercial customers, maximise inventory, and proactively work to improve processes affecting the supply of our products in the UK and Ireland.

What you will be doing

  • Collaborate with distribution partners to ensure they meet contractual obligations and Key Performance Indicators.
  • Oversee daily and monthly inputs, reconciliations, and processes, including order input, stock reconciliations, and regulatory and quality GDP responsibilities.
  • Produce regular stock reconciliation reports between client and wholesale partners, investigate and manage variances, and hold partners accountable.
  • Review stock levels to prevent out-of-stock situations in the UK supply chain and address high/low stock concerns with the Supply Chain Lead and global supply chain.
  • Ensure all setup information for product launches and changes is recorded and communicated to 3PLs.
  • Maintain contracts, where required ensure bone fide checks are completed and ensure correct quotas and pricing structures with third parties.
  • Provide accurate demand forecasts.
  • Identify key customers and flag areas of concern.
  • Support internal customers with their commercial needs.

What you will be doing

  • Over 2 years of supply chain experience in the pharmaceutical industry (desirable). In-depth knowledge of the healthcare environment and pharmaceutical market.
  • Strong teamwork and influencing skills, to work with internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Extensive experience with SAP in supply and finance modules (desirable).
  • Dynamic, proactive, and results oriented.
  • Experience managing third-party logistics providers.
  • Proven ability to analyse data and make sound commercial decisions.
  • Ability to prioritise and adapt in a changing environment.
  • Patient-centred mindset.
  • Project management skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of pharmaceutical supply chain models, including GDP.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in SAP, particularly within SD modules.
