About the Role

We are seeking a reliable, approachable, and customer focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Assistant at Manchester Piccadilly Train Station. This is a fast paced role that combines customer service with safety and security responsibilities to ensure passengers have a safe and smooth journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist passengers with enquiries about train times, platforms, and station facilities.
• Provide excellent customer service and clear travel information.
• Carry out routine security checks around the station.
• Monitor station activity and report any suspicious behaviour or safety concerns.
• Support passengers with accessibility needs, luggage, and general guidance.
• Handle customer issues or complaints in a calm and professional manner.
• Work closely with station staff and transport authorities to maintain a safe environment.

Requirements

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive and responsible approach to safety and security.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Good level of physical fitness, as the role involves long periods on your feet.
• Willingness to work long shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous customer service or security experience is desirable but not essential.
