Customer Service Advisor

Overview

The Customer Service Advisor role in Warwick involves acting as the first point of contact for Warwickshire County Council, handling diverse enquiries across services such as Highways, Blue Badges, and Country Parks. This temporary position offers £13.69 per hour, with a Monday to Friday working pattern totalling 37 hours weekly. It is based at Bedworth or Warwick with hybrid options, and provides a pathway to permanent employment, with a starting salary rising to £28,142.

Responsibilities

As part of a relatively small team of Customer Service Advisors, you will support Warwickshire residents in several ways. You may offer information on how to access services, collect information on behalf of council service teams, support people to access council services online, and help them build confidence and skills to complete transactions digitally.

Most customers contact you by phone, email or other chosen channels. You will respond appropriately, ensuring a positive customer experience. You may be required to work from a Warwickshire County Council office site in Warwick or Bedworth, or from home, while maintaining high standards.

Qualifications

• A good level of verbal and written English
• Confident communicating with a wide range of customers
• Strong questioning, listening and problem solving skills
• Resilient and professional when dealing with challenging conversations
• Good basic IT skills with the ability to learn new systems (full training provided)
• Able to use multiple systems and knowledge bases while on calls
• Self motivated and disciplined when working remotely, with reliable broadband
• Confident to ask for support when needed, with help always available

Location & Hours

Monday to Friday - 37 hours a week. Location: Bedworth/Warwick/Hybrid.

Salary

£13.69 per hour - £26,403 per annum (rising to £28,142).
