Customer Service Advisor

Location: Stoke on Trent (ST1 6AU) - Fully onsite
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week (flexible start times: 8-4 or 9-5)
Contract: Temporary until 31/01/2027 (with potential extension)
Pay Rate: £12.86 per hour, increasing to £13.25 at week 12
Start Date: Monday 27th July 2026
Our client, a reputable public sector organisation, is hiring Customer Service Advisors to join their Flexible Response Unit. In this dynamic role, you'll support multiple teams across various areas, providing vital assistance during busy periods or backlogs. Assignments may last from a few weeks to several months, offering a varied and fast paced environment where adaptability is key.
What you'll be doing:- Handling inbound calls from service users and professionals, providing clear updates on applications and court cases
- Processing and maintaining case information with high accuracy
- Issuing court orders and updating relevant systems
- Managing correspondence, reports, and documentation
- Performing general admin tasks such as photocopying, scanning, and filing
- Completing data entry to required standards
- Customer service experience, ideally in a contact centre setting
- Strong administrative skills with the ability to manage high volume workloads
- Calm, assertive approach in challenging or sensitive situations
- Excellent communication and active listening skills
- Ability to work confidently in a fast paced, phone based environment
- Must be available to start on 27th July 2026
- No pre booked leave within the first 3 weeks of the assignment
- A Basic DBS check and 3 years of references will be required before start
