Customer Care Representative

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum
Full Time 36 Hours Per Week - Opportunity to Work from Home on Fridays

Are you passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and building strong client relationships? We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Customer Care Representative to join a busy Supply Chain team within a well-established manufacturing organisation specialising in innovative and sustainable food packaging solutions.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing international business where customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, and teamwork are at the heart of everything they do.

The RoleAs a Customer Care Representative, you will act as a key link between customers, sales teams, and internal departments, ensuring orders are processed accurately and delivered efficiently while providing a first-class customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage customer orders from receipt through to delivery, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.

  • Provide prompt, professional, and effective customer support via phone and email.

  • Handle customer enquiries regarding products, pricing, delivery schedules, and account information.

  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely manner.

  • Maintain accurate pricing information in line with commercial agreements and negotiated terms.

  • Support the Sales team by responding quickly to requests and providing administrative assistance.

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for both internal and external customers on supply chain and order-related matters.

  • Ensure customer records and account information are kept up to date within the ERP system.

  • Coordinate international shipments and support customs compliance requirements.

  • Provide cover and support for colleagues and management during periods of absence.

  • Contribute ideas and initiatives that enhance processes, improve efficiency, and add value for customers.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A good standard of education, ideally A Levels, Baccalaureate, Degree level, or equivalent.

  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.

  • Previous experience working with an ERP system (desirable).

  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build long-lasting relationships.

  • A proactive approach to identifying customer needs and resolving issues before they escalate.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, professional manner.

  • The ability to remain calm and resilient when working under pressure.

  • Excellent organisational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.

  • A methodical and accurate approach to managing workloads and meeting deadlines.

  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

  • A positive, flexible, and self-motivated attitude with a willingness to support the business when required.
