About therole:

This is an exciting time to work within theLeisure, Tourism, Heritage and Culture Department within NeathPort Talbot Council. As a result of the creation of the NeathPort Talbot Culture Strategy there is a renewed focus oninvesting in heritage, culture, tourism, sport and the creativearts alongside our partners and stakeholders in the area.

We are currently seeking an experiencedprofessional to join our team in the post of Culture StrategyOfficer. The role is funded by Welsh Government's Priorities forCulture Fund.

The postholder will take a strategic leadon the delivery of the Neath Port Talbot Culture Strategy andwill develop a partnership approach with the public, private andvoluntary sectors. The post will be responsible for developing agovernance structure, securing additional funding and guidingpartners to deliver the ambitious agenda and vision set by theCulture Strategy.

Do you have:

• Practical experience of developinggovernance models and setting up associated management systemswithin a context relevant to the role.
• Extensive experience of working inpartnership and coordinating a diverse group of people.
• Experience of managing projects andrelationships with stakeholders to achieve common aims.
• Experience of delivering, monitoring andsetting project targets.
• Successful track record of fundraisingto support the delivery of cultural initiatives.
• Experience of running externally fundedprojects.
