Job Description
CSA Construction Lead - Ballydine, Co. Tipperary 
Responsible to Construction Manager
Responsibilities- The CSA Construction Lead is assigned to a project as a senior member of the Construction Team with responsibility for the proper and timely construction of the CSA Scope in accordance with the Company's Safety and Quality standards, detailed design, control estimate, contract, SOP's, WI's, standards etc.
- Pre Construction duties: detailed review and liaison with design and client workgroup leads, model reviews.
- Prepare and lead constructability reviews across every facet of the build.
- Prepare detailed SOWs for trade contract procurement and assist in preparation of detailed BOQs.
- Review returned CSA bids, prepare TBA, and conduct trade and industry knowledge reviews.
- Develop detailed execution strategies and input into CHSP, QA/TO and all other General Construction Requirement documentation.
- Assist in schedule development, schedule reviews and lead IAPs.
- Provide input for development of the CSA construction department, improving execution procedures, liaising with the CSA Design department leads, and managing and developing CSA construction resources across the project.
- Ensure construction phase is adequately provided with suitably capable, qualified and experienced personnel, plant, tools, temporary facilities and other resources.
- Subcontract management with focus on Safety, Schedule, Cost and Quality.
- Develop best in class site execution SOP's as guidance to the Field Supervisors.
- Comply with the Company's construction methods, procedures and practices, report deficiencies and suggest solutions.
- Ensure applicable statutory and other legal requirements are observed.
- Understand the Health and Safety at Work Act and Regulations and their impact on employees.
- Keep abreast of developments, ensuring the Company's capability continues to develop and excel.
- Ensure projects are constructed to drawings, specifications, applicable standards, good construction practices, schedule and cost budget.
- Direct and control the activities of assigned staff and their functions.
- Carry out assessments and appraisals of staff and report according to Company practice.
- Determine needs for supervisor training and recommend accordingly.
- Ensure Company utilisation of best technology and encourage innovative ideas.
- Record and share lessons learned on projects.
- Adhere to Company policies for labour employment and labour relations.
- Supervise all Site CSA Staff including construction superintendents, trade supervisors and sub contractors.
- Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Significant years' experience in a similar role.
- Biotech / Pharma knowledge.
- Excellent multi disciplinary knowledge.
- Excellent communication skills.
- People management skills.
