The Role
The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of criminal matters, including:
• Police station representation
• Magistrates' Court advocacy
• Crown Court matters
• Motoring offences
• Assault and public order offences
• Drug-related offences
• Theft and fraud matters
• General criminal defence work
while carrying out your responsibilities, you will also be expected to provide exceptional client care and representation. You will work closely with clients throughout the legal process, providing clear advice and robust representation while maintaining the highest professional standards.
Requirements
applications are welcomed from those with at least 2 years of experience in handling Criminal law matters. The ideal candidate will also possess:
• Qualified Solicitor status in England & Wales
• Experience handling a criminal law caseload
• Duty Solicitor accreditation (desirable but not essential)
• Strong advocacy and communication skills
• A client-focused approach
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent organisational and case management skills
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to attend courts and police stations as required
