A highly regarded national practice with a strong reputation in complex regulatory and advisory work is seeking a Crime and Regulatory Solicitor / Partner to join its expanding Manchester team.

The firm is recognised for handling high profile and sensitive matters across a range of regulated sectors, acting for clients in both the private and public sphere. This is an excellent opportunity for a Crime and Regulatory Solicitor / Partner to take ownership of complex matters while supporting the wider leadership team and contributing to the continued growth of the Manchester practice.

The Role

• Leading on a broad range of regulatory and compliance based matters, including coronial investigations, statutory inquiries and investigations by external regulatory bodies
• Advising clients across corporate, public sector and not for profit organisations on both contentious and advisory issues
• Managing complex and high profile matters from instruction through to conclusion
• Supervising and mentoring junior team members, supporting their development and performance
• Supporting the operational running of the team and assisting senior leadership in day to day management
• Maintaining high standards of client service and ensuring matters are delivered efficiently and effectively
• Supporting business development activity and contributing to the growth of the practice

About You

• Experienced Senior Associate, Legal Director or equivalent with a background in regulatory or criminal defence work
• Strong track record of handling complex and sensitive matters
• Confident in supervising and developing junior lawyers
• Commercially aware with a proactive, client focused approach
• Strong organisational and leadership skills
• Able to manage competing priorities in a high pressure environment
• Ambitious and looking to take a leading role within a growing team
