A specialist financial services business is looking to appoint a Corporate Credit Manager to join its established credit function.

The Credit Manager role

This is a hands-on role where you will take ownership of audits end-to-end, working closely with senior stakeholders to strengthen controls, challenge risk frameworks, and drive continuous improvement across the business.

Key Responsibilities for the Credit Manager role

• Assess the credit of new and existing corporate clients
• Analyse financial statements and produce detailed credit assessments
• Prepare credit papers for senior approval forums
• Review and approve credit applications within delegated authority levels
• Ensure adherence to internal underwriting standards and policies
• Monitor customer performance and respond to emerging credit risks
• Maintain accurate and audit-ready customer records and documentation
• Support ongoing compliance requirements
• Collaborate with commercial and operational teams on live deals
• Contribute to risk discussions, planning cycles, and portfolio reviews
• Produce regular and ad hoc reporting for senior stakeholders

What you will bring to the Credit Manager role

• Proven experience in a corporate credit or lending environment
• Strong ability to interpret financial data and assess risk exposure
• Experience writing and presenting credit papers
• Exposure to operating with a personal underwriting mandate
• Confident decision-maker with the ability to challenge where required
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
