Credit Controller (hybrid)

• Offering full time or part time hours (the latter must be over 5 days), £30-33k, 1 day PW home working, flexible start and finish hours and other benefits.

Client Details

Our client is a market leading construction business based in between Pudsey and Bradford. It is a private equity owned Group of companies, which has experienced rapid growth through acquisitions. It is an exciting time to join the business, as they are about to implement a new ERP, Sage Intact.

Description

You will be reporting into the Credit Control Manager and will be responsible for the credit control of 2 companies within the Group. Your duties will include, but will not be limited to:

• Ensuring debts are paid on time and in full
• Chasing overdue debts to minimise the risk of write-off
• Maintain relationships with key contacts
• Post cash receipts to the ledger and reconcile the balances
• Send customer statements out monthly, and when requested to ad-hoc
• Perform credit checks where necessary and ensure that customers are keeping within their insured limit
• Build internal relationships with sales managers
• Raise payment applications to contractors, and ensure the debts are paid within the agreed terms
• Ensure retention balances are reconciled and posted correctly to the ledger.
• Chase retention payments from contractors once Final Accounts have been received, as well as 12-18 months later depending on contracted terms

Profile

To apply for the position, you must have:

• Recent experience of working in credit control
• The ability to communicate with individuals at all levels
• The ability to work in a changing and fast paced environment

Job Offer

• £30,000 to £33,000 (dependent upon experience)
• Flexibility with start and finish hours, but standard hours are 8:30-5
• A full time or part time role, but the latter must be over 5 days
