About the role
Reporting into the Creative Director our Creative Planning Manager is accountable for bridging the gap between the Marketing teams and the Content and Creative team. You will be equally confident talking about data and insights as you are about creative execution and cultural trends. In this role you will be responsible for working with our campaigns and marketing teams to take a conceptual brief and distil it down to a concise and focused executional brief. This role is crucial in taking the business strategies and turning them into tangible actions for the creative team. To succeed in this role you must build trusting relationships within Content and Creative and the wider Customer team.
- Expected salary - £53,000 - £75,000 (dependant on experience)
- Contract type - This position is a Permanent contract.
- Working pattern/flexible working - The Partnership has adopted a hybrid working approach, meaning you'll be able to work a mixture between the office and home based upon your personal needs whilst balancing the needs of the business. The Creative and Content team aims for around 2-3 days a week in the office to connect and on a more ad-hoc basis to attend key meetings.
- Location - This role is based at our London Head Office campus in Pimlico. Please note, any cost incurred as a result of travel to the office is the responsibility of the successful candidate. There is no travel allowance for this role. There is also a responsibility to visit our Creative Studio in Origin Park (NW1) when necessary.
- FYI - Please note, the "Creative Strategist" is internally known as the "Creative Planning Manager" - If you are successfully shortlisted, you will be invited to meet in person in Pimlico for an application review (w/c 16th June), before the final shortlist of interviewees is confirmed. Key responsibilities
- Work with brief owners and creative planners to distil insights from data and conceptual briefs into concise channel execution briefs that inspire effective and interesting creative work
- Digging out the key problem that needs to be solved and ensuring this is the focus for the creative work
- Facilitate collaboration and flow between the creative and marketing teams
- Act as a sounding board for effectiveness with the creative teams
- Support strategic transformation of brand and campaigns
- Work with the creative team to get under the skin of feedback and support on decision making based off the business' goals and data
- Utilise insights and data to break down actionable feedback for the creative team
- Work with the campaigns team and channel owners to understand performance of past projects and collate information to share back with wider Content and Creative team
- Work alongside brand and marketing teams to champion effective creative work
- Identify opportunities for award submissions of creative work and support with entries that show both creative excellence and performance
- Keep abreast of cultural and competitor campaigns, discovering key trends in the market and bring this insight back into the business
- Contribute to the team culture sharing knowledge, inspiration and ideas
- A champion of creative work with an ability to promote it to the wider business
- Collecting and analysing data from campaigns and channel work to uncover the so what in terms of the creative work
- Be on top of trend forecasting and thinking how this applies to our customer base
Essential skills/experience you'll need
- Proven ability to decipher data and distil it down with clear creative actions
- Proven ability to inspire creatives and get them excited about a project
- Excellent presentation skills and ability to communicate verbally and in writing
- Experience working within an agency or in-house in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of cultural and retail landscape
