Job Description

for exciting new project 'How We Move'

Kildare County Council Arts Service seek to appoint an experienced Creative Producer to manage and oversee the delivery of the projectHow We Move. This is an initiative connecting arts, health, movement, and public space funded by Creative Ireland under the Creative Health and Wellbeing in the Community Scheme 2026 - 2028.

How We Moveis an ambitious collaborative project exploring how interventions in everyday public spaces can encourage movement, creativity, participation, and wellbeing. The initiative is led by Kildare County Council Arts Service in partnership with Kildare Sports Partnership, Offaly Sports Partnership, Healthy Ireland, the HSE, Irish Architecture Foundation, Luail National Dance Company and Offaly County Council Arts Service.

The project will develop a prototype of accessible "Movement Zones" that invite communities to engage differently with their environment and with one another.

The Creative Producer will play a central operational and administrative role in ensuring the successful planning, coordination, communication and delivery of the project across all partner organisations. The role requires a highly organised and collaborative individual with experience in arts and health, socially engaged practice, public engagement, or multidisciplinary project delivery.

The project will include a Dancer in Residence and an Architect in Residence, working collaboratively with project partners and communities to explore how movement, design and spatial experience can shape healthier and more connected public environments. The Creative Producer will support and coordinate these residencies alongside wider project activities including community engagement workshops led by Kildare and Offaly Sports Partnerships.

A significant strand of the project will also focus on design, visual identity and public communications. The Creative Producer will work closely with the project design and communications team to support a strong, accessible and engaging public-facing profile for the project across print, digital and event contexts.

This role offers an opportunity to contribute to an innovative pilot project with strong potential for long-term social and public health impact.
