Job Title: Creative Director

Contract Type: Permanent, full-time

Location: London (hybrid, 2-3 days a week in the office)

Reporting Line: VP of Global Brand Marketing

Direct Reports: Graphic Designer (London-based), Creative Manager (Singapore-based), 2 freelance designers (Asia-based), Copywriter

Role Overview

We're looking for a Creative Director to lead our creative strategy and elevate design excellence across marketing activities. You will champion brand-first thinking, develop creative frameworks that position Go City uniquely in the market, and ensure creative assets meet high standards. You will also explore how Generative AI can help build scalable, distinctive creative content.

You will collaborate with multiple stakeholders, especially the Product team, to ensure consistency across acquisition and conversion efforts. Your responsibilities include creative strategy, production, team leadership, campaign briefing, and overseeing photo and video shoots.

Key Responsibilities Creative Strategy
  • Translate brand fundamentals into innovative creative approaches
  • Maintain brand guardianship while fostering creativity and innovation
  • Collaborate with Product Design for visual identity and overall strategy
  • Work with brand, PR, social, paid media, and content teams to drive revenue
  • Manage and update the Go City Brand Book to ensure consistency and cultural relevance
  • Introduce new ideas and technologies to enhance the customer journey
  • Use validation frameworks to measure creative impact
Design
  • Create marketing materials across digital and physical formats for the customer journey
  • Foster a culture of testing and learning to improve creative performance
  • Manage design assets including templates, social media creatives, landing pages, PR materials, presentations, and outdoor ads
  • Embrace AI and other technologies to optimize workflows and creative outputs
  • Coordinate with local agencies to ensure cohesive campaigns
Team Leadership & Collaboration
  • Lead by example, inspiring creative excellence
  • Ensure timely, high-quality project delivery within budget
  • Manage workflows effectively
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate creative solutions
  • Foster an inclusive, collaborative environment that encourages innovation
Essential Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Digital Design, Graphic Design, or related field
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, HTML, typography, digital illustration, motion graphics, UI/UX design
  • At least 8 years in a senior design role, with agency and in-house experience
  • Experience in travel, ecommerce, or media sectors (preferred)
  • Proven success in developing and executing creative campaigns
  • Strong understanding of the travel and tourism industry
  • Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages a plus
  • Strong emotional intelligence and experience managing external agencies
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
