Overview

Cartwheel Arts is recruiting for a visionary Creative Director / Joint CEO to lead our artistic and strategic direction. Role and responsibilities

In this pivotal role, you will work alongside our Managing Director/joint CEO to provide inspirational leadership to achieve our artistic, social, and strategic objectives, and to line manage members of our team.

The Creative Director will devise and oversee our creative programme, in collaboration with our team, partners and stakeholders. The role is responsible for income generation from trusts and foundations and managing our relationships with our current major funders including the Arts Council England (we are an NPO), Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) and the Garfield Weston Foundation. You will be the primary advocate for our charity.

Qualifications and qualities

We are looking for an entrepreneurial leader with a proven track record in fundraising, overseeing complex budgets, and fostering productive relationships with a Board of Trustees. Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion are embedded in our work within diverse communities.

Terms and application

Salary: £45,000 plus a 7.5% employer pension contribution.

Location: Heywood, Rochdale, with some hybrid / remote working.

Closing Date for applications: Tuesday 24 February at 5pm.

Interviews: Thursday 12 March in Heywood.

We currently offer hybrid working arrangements but would expect the post holder to work in person in the Heywood office at least 2-3 days per week, one of which must be a Wednesday and a flexible approach to working including some evenings & weekends.
