About the Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during teacher absences, delivering pre-prepared work and ensuring students remain on task. You will play a key role in maintaining a calm and productive learning environment while supporting positive behaviour across the classroom.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes and deliver pre-set lesson materials
• Maintain effective classroom management and behaviour standards
• Ensure students remain focused and complete assigned work
• Provide clear instructions and basic support during lessons
• Report on student behaviour and lesson outcomes
• Support a safe and structured learning environment

Requirements

• Experience working with young people in an educational setting is desirable
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Confident, calm and professional approach
• Ability to adapt to different subjects and situations
• A genuine interest in supporting student learning and progress
• Have the right to work in the UK
• Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years
• Have a DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education
