This is a highly regarded, specialist private practice team in the West Midlands who are looking to welcome an experienced Court of Protection Solicitor into their ranks. You'll be working on high-quality, varied matters, supporting vulnerable clients and their families, and making a real difference to people's lives. And here's the bonus: you'll only need to be in the office one day a week. Yes, really!
THE ROLE:
You'll take ownership of a varied and interesting caseload, advising on a broad range of Court of Protection matters and ensuring the best interests of your clients remain at the heart of everything you do. Your work will include:
• Deputyship applications and appointments
• Professional Deputyship matters
• Property and financial affairs management
• Statutory Will applications
• Gift applications
• Contested Deputyship matters
• Advising Deputies and Attorneys on their duties and responsibilities
• Personal Injury Trusts
• Liaising with families, care providers, financial advisers and other professionals
• Court of Protection applications and ongoing case management
In short, no two days are likely to look quite the same - and that's exactly how you like it.
ARE YOU THE RIGHT FIT?
We're looking for someone who:
• Is a qualified Solicitor with 4+ years' PQE
• Has solid experience in Court of Protection and Mental Capacity Act matters
• Can confidently manage their own caseload with minimal supervision
• Has excellent communication and client care skills
• Brings empathy, sound judgement and a practical approach to working with vulnerable clients and their families
You'll be someone who knows their way around the Court of Protection, enjoys building relationships and understands that good legal advice is about people just as much as paperwork.
LETS TALK ABOUT THE GOOD STUFF:
There's plenty to get excited about:
• Hybrid working: Just one day per week in the office
• Competitive salary: Reflecting your skills and experience
• Excellent benefits package: Because the little extras matter too
• Quality work: Interesting, varied and rewarding Court of Protection matters
• Great colleagues: A supportive and collaborative team
• Career development: Genuine opportunities to progress
