A leading Devon law firm is expanding its specialist Court of Protection and Private Client team and is now recruiting a Court of Protection Solicitor or Legal Executive for its Plymouth office.

This hire offers hybrid working, strong support and clear progression for a Solicitor or Legal Executive with 0-3 years PQE .

The Role - Court of Protection/Mental Capacity Law

You will join a well-established specialist team handling a varied and rewarding caseload, including:

• Court of Protection matters under the Mental Capacity Act
• Supporting vulnerable adults, children and elderly clients
• Liaising with families, care providers and professionals
• Managing financial affairs, deputyships and trustee matters
• Visiting clients in care settings and at home
• Working closely with financial advisers on longer-term planning

Candidate Profile

• Solicitor or Legal Executive
• Newly qualified to 3 years PQE invited to apply
• Court of Protection experience beneficial but not essential
• A background in private client, family law, or litigation welcomed
• Strong interest in Mental Capacity / vulnerable client work
• Excellent communication and client care skills
