Court of Protection Manager / Private Client Solicitor - Liverpool City Region - 3+ PQE

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Court of Protection Manager (Private Client Solicitor / Legal Executive, 3+ PQE) to join a long-established and highly regarded regional law firm with a strong presence across the Liverpool City Region.

This is a senior and varied role within a growing Private Client department, offering genuine scope to lead and develop Court of Protection work while building strong client and professional relationships. The firm is known for its supportive culture, collaborative environment and commitment to staff development and progression.

Hybrid and agile working options are available.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing a varied Court of Protection and Private Client caseload
  • Supervising and supporting a team handling Court of Protection matters
  • Advising and updating clients, families and professional deputies
  • Liaising with Courts, the Probate Registry, HM Land Registry, HMRC, experts and external agencies
  • Handling estate administration and Court of Protection documentation
  • Meeting with clients both in person and remotely where required
  • Supporting business development activities and maintaining professional relationships
  • Working alongside the marketing team to produce blogs and content relating to Private Client services
Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates should have:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience handling Court of Protection matters
  • Strong experience advising High Net Worth clients on:
    • Probate
    • Wills
    • Trusts
    • Estate & Tax Planning
    • Services for the Elderly
  • Previous supervisory or mentoring experience
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Experience using Case Management Systems and Laserforms
  • Good working knowledge of Excel
Desirable Experience
  • Experience with property-related matters
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
