Job Description
Our client is looking for a Cost Coordinator to join their EMEA Headquarters team in the Netherlands. As part of the Cost Management team, you will support the planning, tracking, controlling, and reporting of CAPEX and OPEX budgets within the Store Development department.
In this role, you will work closely with internal stakeholders, including Construction, Facilities Management, Finance, Real Estate teams, Procurement, Category teams, and external vendors. You will support cost management activities by reviewing cost breakdowns, monitoring project and operational expenses, analyzing financial data, and providing insights that contribute to effective decision-making across the EMEA region.
You will support the team in reviewing and interpreting cost information, preparing scenario analyses related to materials, components, technology, productivity, and other cost drivers. You will help monitor the impact of cost changes on overall budgets and support stakeholders in achieving financial targets.
Key Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage CAPEX and OPEX budgets across the Store Development and Facilities Management portfolio, including budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and financial reporting.
- Review and interpret cost breakdowns, analyze cost drivers, and support scenario analysis related to materials, components, technology, productivity, and foreign exchange changes.
- Support financial decision-making by preparing reports, analyzing historical data, and providing insights to internal stakeholders.
- Review vendor proposals and invoices for accuracy, identify discrepancies, and coordinate with Procurement and Project Managers to resolve issues.
- Update project budgets as commitments are made and payments are processed.
- Prepare and maintain documentation required for cost tracking, payment processes, and financial reporting.
- Support vendor management activities and monitor progress against key deadlines and financial metrics.
- Track cost performance, including budget versus actual spend, purchase order status, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Collaborate with Construction, Facilities Management, Real Estate, Finance, Procurement, Category teams, and external vendors to provide consolidated financial oversight and business insights.
- Identify opportunities to improve cost reporting, financial controls, Purchase Order management, and procurement processes.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to financial operations and cost management.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of direct work experience.
- Previous experience with finance activities and processes, within Construction, Facilities Management, Real Estate, or a similar environment.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with Smartsheet is considered an advantage.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Currently residing in Hilversum or the surrounding area.
