Cost Accounting Manager

Cost Accounting Manager - Tech Industry - Cork - Hybrid

Excellent opportunity for an experienced cost accountant ready to take full ownership of a complex, SOX-relevant function within a high tech IT company with European HQ based in Cork

Reporting to the FD you will have full responsibility for the following:

• Own the end-to-end standard costing process, including quarterly cost uploads
• Prepare and present period cost actuals and forecasts to senior management, including the quarterly Inventory Management and Period Cost Review.
• Lead the quarterly calculation and reporting of inventory reserves, including Excess & Obsolete, Lower of Cost or Market, Used Inventory, and ODM Excess Materials Liability.
• Oversee the monthly and quarterly Cost Trial Balance and Standard Margin reconciliations, and post-close cost allocations.
• Act as a key point of contact for external auditors (Deloitte) on cost accounting and inventory-related controls.

Experience:

• Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent).
• Min 8 years' in cost accounting within a manufacturing, hardware, or technology company.
• Excellent knowledge of inventory valuation,
• Experience operating in a public company or SOX-compliant environment.
• Proficiency in Oracle EBS/OCI and advanced Excel skills.
