Job Title: Treasury Analyst - Credit Institution
Job Description
This role focuses on supporting the build-out of a European Union credit institution in the EMEA region by providing mid-level corporate treasury expertise. You will contribute to licence application activities, respond to regulatory requests, and help establish robust treasury frameworks covering capital, liquidity, and risk management.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of corporate treasury frameworks for a European Union credit institution in the EMEA region.
- Contribute to the preparation and maintenance of documentation required for credit institution licence applications.
- Respond to requests from regulators and supervisory bodies, ensuring timely and accurate provision of treasury-related information.
- Assist in the monitoring and management of liquidity positions, including Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR) and Net Stable Funding Ratio (NSFR).
- Support asset and liability management (ALM) activities, helping to optimise the balance sheet and manage interest rate and liquidity risk.
- Contribute to capital management processes, including capital planning and forecasting to support regulatory and internal requirements.
- Assist with the preparation of regulatory reporting for relevant authorities such as the European Central Bank (ECB) and European Banking Authority (EBA).
- Support the development and maintenance of Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP) and Internal Liquidity Adequacy Assessment Process (ILAAP) frameworks.
- Contribute to recovery and resolution planning activities, ensuring treasury inputs are accurate and aligned with regulatory expectations.
- Assist with cash management processes to ensure efficient utilisation of funds and adequate liquidity across the institution.
- Collaborate with colleagues across capital markets, risk, and finance teams to ensure consistent and compliant treasury practices.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of treasury policies, procedures, and controls to support a robust governance framework.
Essential Skills
- Mid-level corporate treasury experience with a solid understanding of general treasury principles.
- Practical knowledge of liquidity management, including Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR) and Net Stable Funding Ratio (NSFR).
- experience in asset and liability management (ALM), including balance sheet and interest rate risk considerations.
- Understanding of capital markets and capital management concepts within a regulated financial institution.
- experience with regulatory reporting in a banking or credit institution environment.
- Familiarity with European regulatory frameworks and institutions such as the European Central Bank (ECB) and European Banking Authority (EBA).
- Knowledge of ICAAP and ILAAP processes and their role in risk and capital/liquidity management.
- experience in capital planning, recovery, and resolution frameworks.
- Strong cash management skills with the ability to support daily liquidity and funding operations.
- Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into practical treasury processes and documentation.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail when handling complex treasury and regulatory data.
- Effective communication skills to work with internal stakeholders and respond to regulatory enquiries clearly and accurately.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- experience working within an EU or EMEA banking or credit institution environment.
- Exposure to building or enhancing treasury frameworks in a growing or newly established institution.
- Familiarity with capital planning methodologies and stress testing concepts.
- Knowledge of recovery and resolution planning requirements in a regulated financial services context.
- Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams including risk, finance, and capital markets.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple regulatory and reporting deadlines.
- Proficiency in using treasury-related systems, tools, and spreadsheets to support analysis and reporting.
