Opportunity

A highly regarded, long established accountancy firm is seeking to appoint a high calibre Corporate Tax Director or Partner to join its growing Tax Consultancy service line in Cumbria. This is a strategic appointment within a well invested and expanding tax practice, offering an experienced corporate tax professional the opportunity to take on a senior client leadership position, with influence over both client relationships and the future direction of the service line. The role offers a strong platform for a commercially focused individual who enjoys combining technical excellence with relationship management, team leadership and business development.

Role

This is a senior, market facing position with responsibility for both client delivery and leadership. Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead point of contact for a portfolio of corporate clients, with end to end responsibility for relationship oversight
  • Taking ownership of the provision and delivery of corporate tax advisory and compliance services to a high professional standard
  • Defining, agreeing and controlling engagement scope, pricing and budgets to ensure commercially robust outcomes
  • Coordinating workstreams and providing guidance and mentorship to support the development of the broader tax team
  • Fostering long term client relationships while identifying and converting opportunities for broader advisory support
  • Contributing to and leading business generation initiatives, both individually and across the wider tax practice
Ideal Candidate
  • A commercially astute and practical approach, with a strong focus on delivering value to clients
  • The confidence and presence to engage effectively with senior stakeholders, both internally and externally
  • A track record in owning and nurturing key client relationships
  • Strong leadership qualities, with a genuine interest in coaching, mentoring and developing talent
  • CTA qualification or equivalent professional accreditation
  • Broad exposure across a range of corporate tax advisory and compliance matters
