What does the role involve?Reporting to the Senior Corporate Risk Manager, the Corporate Risk Analytics Manager is a key member of the Corporate Risk team, who will lead and shape the analytics and data function, a business-critical team producing high quality data and analysis that supports the effective management of risk across the team and wider business. You will have direct responsibility for three team members, with a strong focus on their development and coaching, empowering them to become more self-sufficient and hands-on in their roles.
Please note, this is a 12 month fixed term contract. This is a hybrid role based in our Leeds office, requiring office attendance three days per week, with flexibility needed during the training period.
Some of your key duties will include:
- Take ownership of producing and distributing key internal data reports that are essential to the team's daily operations, to support informed decision-making
- Work closely with the wider Corporate Risk team to provide a well-rounded perspective on the activity and performance of the retailers we manage
- Produce business-critical provision calculations estimating projected financial impact on Novuna from retailer failures, with the results shared with other key business functions
- Responsible for effectively monitoring the B2B portfolio whilst consistently looking to improve both the effectiveness and automation of existing systems and processes across the function
You're a strong people manager with a passion for leading and developing others. You excel at coaching and teaching soft skills, helping team members grow and progress within their roles. You are confident in putting forward your own point of view and comfortable challenging others constructively, including senior colleagues, to support better decision-making and continuous improvement. With a sharp commercial mindset, you're able to balance risk while supporting business goals, making sound decisions that align with both operational needs and strategic priorities.
Also, we're looking for the following:
- Experience in producing and analysing data to support management-level decision-making
- A natural collaborator, to work effectively across the Corporate Risk team and the wider business with stakeholders of all levels
- Experience working with SAS, SQL, Oracle and Databricks would be highly advantageous, along with proficiency in Power BI to effectively present and visualise data insights
- A background in an FCA-regulated financial institution is desirable, though not essential
